LPU Davao gives high value in the important role educators play in the development of young individuals and in helping them become assets to the society and the world at large.

It is on this context that LPU Davao spearheads the Educators’ Conference 2018, dubbed as EdCon2018. LPU Davao invited teachers, guidance counselors, school principals and administrators and those who are from the academe to a one day seminar with the theme “Creating Synergy in the Academe for the 21st Century Learners”. Speakers include Mr. Eckhon Malig who discussed GETTING THE MESSAGE ACROSS: Managing stakeholders’ issues and expectations through Strategic Communications and Atty. Reynold Beredo who spoke on the topic PREVENTING LEGAL PITFALLS: Latest legal issues on managing student discipline and implementation of student policies and programs.

Dr. Felipe Balingit, LPU Davao’s VP and Chief Academic Officer, shared a poem by Jose P. Laurel that speaks on the value of teaching as a profession.

Aside from the learning part, there were also raffle, games and other activities to make the event fun and exciting.

EdCon2018 was able to gather almost 300 participants from within and outside Davao City.
