Lyceum of the Philippines Davao conducted its First Board of Advisers’ Conference and Stakeholders’ Conference at Seda Hotel, March 9, 2019.
LPU Davao subjected its curriculum to the critiquing of industry experts to ensure that its program offerings are aligned with industry standards and that its graduates will be able to acquire competencies based on what the industry needs. This is one of LPU Davao’s strategies to address the widening gap between industry requirements and graduates’ competencies.
The members of the Board of Advisers gave their suggestions and recommendations to make the program offerings of LPU Davao more industry grounded.

A number of government administrators from the different local and national agencies, businessmen as represented by the Davao Chamber of Commerce and Industry, educators from the academe and representatives from cultural and religious groups attended the event. Dr. Felipe G. Balingit Jr. , VP and Chief Academic Officer, presented the plans for operations of LPU Davao. LPU also sought the support of the community as it constructs its first out of Luzon campus here in Davao City. LPU Davao also facilitated an open forum to answer concerns and inquiries from the different representative groups.
LPU Davao aims to develop collaborative partnerships with the different representative groups. The event is also to concretize LPU Davao’s commitment to provide industry and socially responsive programs and services for the benefit of its various stakeholders.
