CEO’s Forum: Industry Visit
On August 7, 2024, the College of Accountancy, Business, and Management, led by their Dean, Dr. John Joseph Villotes, visited the Damosa Land Headquarters, one of LPU Davao’s industry partners. The students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Ricardo F. Lagdameo, President of Damosa Land.
During the visit, Mr. Lagdameo shared the company’s rich history and diverse business components, and provided an exclusive tour of the headquarters, offering our Lyceans meaningful insights into the industry.

Sophomore BS Customs Administration students of LPU Davao visited the Port Management Office -Davao of the Philippine Ports Authority as well as the Davao International Container Terminal, Inc. at Panabo City on October 20, 2023.
The students embarked on a transformative Port Learning and Visit experience which was spearheaded by Mr. Diosdado Cubelo, BSCA Program Chair with the support of Dr. John Joseph Villotes, CABM Associate Dean.
Port visits by BSCA students are extremely important, offering students real-world insights, hands-on experience in customs administration, and a bridge between theory and practice. These visits provide deeper understanding, hone problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, and prepare students for successful careers in customs administration.
The Industry Educational Tour program of LPU Davao is a vital component of the current curricular thrust, making LPU Davao a truly industry-driven higher education institution.

LPU Davao’s BS Medical Technology interns had the opportunity to explore special areas of the Southern Philippines Medical Center, one of our partner institutions in the College of Health Sciences industry.
They visited the Sub-National Blood Center to gain firsthand experience of its laboratory operations. They also had a behind-the-scenes look at the Mindanao Testing Center for Water and Toxicology within the SPMC complex, where they saw the latest equipment and learned about the processes for testing water samples. Additionally, they explored the Newborn Screening Center, the first and only newborn screening center in Mindanao, and explored the building blocks of life at the Philippine Genome Center Mindanao.
Let us revisit the journey of our interns, the very first to have the exclusive chance to tour these facilities. LPU Davao extends our heartfelt appreciation for the center’s commitment to total quality management and its dedication to improving public health outcomes.
