Airline Cabin Simulator soon in LPU Davao
In three to four months from now, LPU Davao will have its Airline Cabin Simulator mounted within the campus’ premises – becoming the first higher education institution in Southern Mindanao to have such.
This Airline Cabin Simulator, a full Airbus A320 cabin model, will benefit the flagship programs of LPU Davao such as the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. It will be housed in a hangar that will also have laboratories for the upcoming programs of LPU Davao namely Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Avionics Technology.
“This facility will be open not just to LPU Davao students but to all especially those who would like to shift careers. Many of our young people would like to pursue a career in aviation as cabin crew members,” Dr. Felipe G. Balingit Jr., Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of LPU Davao, said in an interview. He added that there will be a 30-day special program for flight attendants and other related jobs as part of its Cabin Crew Training Program to be conducted at the said simulator.
He also emphasized that with the Airline Cabin Simulator in LPU Davao, students who aspire to be cabin crew members will no longer have to move to Metro Manila or Cebu City for training to pursue their dream jobs in the aviation industry.
As of writing, LPU Davao has already issued a purchase order from a supplier in Cebu City.
